Pieter Lubbe

Pieter Lübbe is a South African fine artist and poet based in Cape Town.

Building upon his tertiary qualifications in Architecture and the English Language, Pieter’s art is a mix between Pretoria’s punk and Cape Town’s class. His art provides an insight into his psyche, manifesting an interesting dichotomy between his colourful and expressive personality traits against a backdrop of melancholy and pathos, all evident in his work.

In his free time, Pieter likes pondering about life in Cape Town’s hipster coffee shops, listening to The Doors, watching cricket, dancing salsa and bachata or wondering why he doesn’t get enough sleep.

Pieter’s work is currently on display at Art.B Gallery in Bellville, Woodstock Lab with Emerging Artists Programme/City of Cape Town, Arthaus Gallery in Sea Point, The Drinkery in Cape Town CBD and Curiocity Green Point.
